The JEE Main Syllabus 2026 is very important for the candidates- who are going to appear for the Joint Entrance Examination- JEE Main every year- This exam is conducted by the National Testing Agency- the JEE Main is the important gate to enter into institutions like the NITs- IIITs and is also the important exam for JEE Advanced. For the 2026 academic session- the syllabus is same as the previous year. JEE Mains Syllabus:

The JEE Main exam pattern 2026–  includes two papers:

  1. Paper 1 is for: B.E and B.TECH aspirants which is Computer Based Test. 
  2. Paper 2 is divided into two parts: Paper 2A for: B. Architecture and Paper 2B for: B. Planning.

JEE Main Exam Changes:

The NTA has mentioned that there will be no changes in the JEE Main- exam syllabus. This means the structure- marking- time and the types of questions will be same as previous year- so candidates need to prepare according to the previous year exam pattern in order to qualify the exam.

B.E or B.TECH- Paper 1:

Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates need to meet the certain eligibility conditions to sit in the JEE Mains examination 2026 and the conditions are:

  1. There is no- age limit to appear- in JEE Main 2026.
  2. Candidates must have qualified their- Class 12th examination.
  3. Candidate must have taken at least- five subjects in Class 12th examination.
  4. Compulsory Subjects:-
    • For B.E or B. TECH : Must have passed with Physics and Maths as compulsory subjects along with one of Chemistry- Biotechnology- Biology- Technical Subject.
    • For B.Arch.: Must have passed with Mathematics- Physics and Chemistry.
    • For B. Planning: Must have passed with Mathematics as a compulsory subject.
  5. General category candidates need a minimum of- 75 percent marks in their Class 12th exams while SC- ST candidates need 65 percent.
