The BTSC has announced a notification regarding 1114 Work Inspector vacancies which are distributed among different reservation categories as per Bihar government rules- Also 35% of the posts are reserved for female candidates who are permanent residents of Bihar.

Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates who are applying for the BTSC Work Inspector position must meet both the educational background and the age limit given in the rule by the commission.
Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed Matric that is 10th Class from a recognized board and should have completed ITI in one of the following trades: Draftsman-Surveyor- Plumber. The ITI must be done from an institution recognized by NCVT or SCVT.

Application Process:
The online application process started on 5 December 2025 and will continue till 5th January 2026– All the Candidates should fill out the application form very carefully and upload documents in the correct format- Steps to apply are:

- Click on Recruitment or Apply Online link and register yourself with mobile number and email ID.
- Complete the application form with personal and academic details and Upload required documents like: Photograph- sign etc.
- Pay the application fee online and Submit the form and then download the confirmation page.

Selection Process:
The selection process includes two stages or processes:
1. Written Examination: The CBT test candidates will include: Technical knowledge- General Knowledge- Maths and Reasoning- Basic awareness of engineering and public health systems and the merit list will be prepared on basis of marks scored in the CBT.
2. Document Verification: Candidates shortlisted through CBT must give their original documents including the 10th mark sheet – ITI certificate- Caste certificate – Domicile certificate – Photo ID. Only candidates who successfully clear the Document verification stage will be posted.
Salary Structure:
Selected candidates will be giving a salary of Pay Level 2 which includes: Basic Pay- Dearness Allowance- House Rent Allowance- Medical Benefits and other Bihar Government allowances. This makes work inspector to be financially stable.
